Sachchidananda Parabrahman Dr Jayant Balaji Athavale

Founder

Maharshi Adhyatma Vishwavidyalay

Sachchidananda Parabrahman Dr Jayant Balaji Athavale is a Paratpar Guru who has dedicated His life to pioneering the understanding of the Science of Spirituality for the benefit of humanity. A Paratpar Guru is a Guru and Spiritual Master of the highest order, i.e., one who is above the 90% spiritual level.

After completing his MBBS, He started his career as a medical doctor. Later, He shifted His focus to studying the human mind and trained as a clinical hypnotherapist. His profound insights into the human mind & suffering led Him to undertake extensive research into the subtle dimension & spiritual healing. At this point in time, He was graced with meeting His Guru, Saint Bhaktaraj Maharaj. Through tireless experimentation, He established the Science of Spirituality as a tangible, research-based field accessible to everyone.

His mission is rooted in uplifting society through spiritual practice. He has guided thousands of seekers across continents, empowering them with practical tools to overcome difficulties arising from spiritual causes and to progress towards God-realisation. Under His vision, extensive spiritual research has been conducted on over 50 subjects, which include the effects of subtle energies on us, spiritual healing, the removal of personality defects, and the importance of spiritual practice for a harmonious, sattvik (spiritually purer) life. This research has furthered the practical benefits of applying ancient Indian Knowledge Systems in everyday life.

Recognising the need for institutionalised research, He founded Maharshi Adhyatma Vishwavidyalay (MAV) - the world’s first educational institution dedicated entirely to spiritual research, education and growth. His work has resulted in a prolific repository of spiritual knowledge, exhibitions, videos & documentaries and publications that are transforming how the world understands Spirituality. His spiritual guidance continues to inspire seekers globally towards spiritual growth and the welfare of society.
