Pandit Vishwanath Kanhere is a celebrated harmonium maestro known for his melodic precision, expressive phrasing, and deep command over Indian classical music. He began his musical journey under the guidance of his father, the revered kirtankar H.B.P. Ramchandrabua Kanhere. Pandit Kanhere’s further training under eminent gurus Pandit Eknath Thakurdas, Pandit Govindrao Patwardhan, Pandit Jitendra Abhisheki and Pandit Ram Marathe honed his technique, improvisational skills, and nuanced understanding of ragas.

During his visit to the Spiritual Research Centre and Ashram, he told the young seekers that understanding and practicing spiritual practice at such an early age is nothing but God’s grace. He urged them to nurture and deepen this divine gift, as they have been chosen for a greater spiritual purpose. He also actively participated in research on harmonium playing at the university.
